House Committee seeks ATRs over JAKFED embezzlement

SRINAGAR, Aug 29: The House Committee constituted to look into alleged bungling and embezzlement of public money worth crores of rupees in JAKFED, today asked the Council Secretariat to obtain Action Taken Reports (ATRs) from the concerned organization immediately.
The Committee, which met under the chairmanship of MLC Khalid Najeeb Surawardy here today examined the documents furnished by the JAKFED in detail.
Legislators, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Ravinder Kumar Sharma and Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions to finalize its report.
The Committee decided that it will submit its report to the House shortly.
Among others, Additional Secretary Legislative Council Mohammad Ashraf Wani and other officers of Council Secretariat were present in the meeting.
