Hottest day in Jammu, max reaches 41.5 C

JAMMU: As there is no respite from hot weather conditions, the winter capital of the State yet again recorded the hottest day on Tuesday, with maximum temperature touching 41.5 degree Celsius.

Jammu yet again witnessed hottest day as the mercury started soaring, after a spell of fresh rains.

“Due to rains last week, the temperature, which was 5 to 6 degrees above from normal, had come down, but it again started soaring and on Tuesday, the maximum temperaure was recorded at 41.5 degree Celsius,” said the weatherman.

He said the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees.

He predicted mainly clear sky for Wednesday, with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to remain around 42 degrees and 27 degrees, respectively. (AGENCIES)
