JAMMU, Oct 9: Describing Public Private Partnership as the tool of growth and development in the recent time, Union Minister for Steel Ramchandra Prasad Singh called for involvement of private players in the joint projects which can be completed jointly.
He was speaking to a joint delegation of Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra (HRAK ) & Federation of Hotels, Restaurants, Industry & Commerce of Jammu Region (FHRICJR) in the presence of Joint Secretary Ministry of Steel, Puneet Kansal; Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Anshul Garg; Director Industries, Anu Malhotra and Joint Director, Industries, Amit Vermani.
The delegation comprised of HRAK President Rakesh Wazir; Kushal Magotra, President of Patnitop Hotel, Bar and Restaurant Association and Sr Vice President FHRICJR; Ajay Kotwal, Vice President and Head Bhaderwah area FHRICJR; Sanjay Gupta, Vice President FHRICJR; Shiv Magotra and others.
Wazir, while speaking on the occasion, suggested the projects on Public Private partnership including Ropeways at Shiv Khori, Katra Shankeracharya, Water entertainment Park at Jhajjar Kotli, Light & Sound show at Katra, etc. He demanded that all industrial benefits need to be extended to tourism sector and for that purpose, a notification needs to be issued.
Kushal Magotra, while speaking on the occasion, pleaded that when hotels have been adopted by the Industries Department and are part of it and are doing registration of hotels also, there was no need of Tourism Registration now and whatever norms are required for Industries Department registration be applied to hotels as well.
Ajay Kotwal demanded that moratorium of loans which have become bad due to Covid be increased further. Besides, he added, there is need of customized schemes for all those units who have not availed any business loan and for them the banks should provide cash on credit.
Sanjay Gupta said that Industrial Parks around Katra, which have already been identified, be started at the earliest and more are required to be explored with open usage.
The Union Minister listened to the delegation patiently and assured that every point will be taken up with concerned, including authorities at Union Territory or at Centre for the early redressal.
