The State Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed has realised that many things for the public could be done if officers and officials in the administration showed up good amount of integrity and honesty. Only these two would form the basis to judge their way of working and how much was it in tune with the demand of the time. Along with honesty, he has stressed that on ground delivery would mean getting good results. In other words he has stressed upon the fact that an officer is practically contributing nil but he is honest would mean nothing at all. These points he discussed in DDB meeting in Srinagar and elsewhere. It appears all well to hear and read about such observations but the results would come only after a vigorous follow up was made by the Ministers as well as by the CM himself and by rewarding the performers and punishing the inefficient and non performers. It is no use only to live up to the omissions and commissions by the previous government. That was not going to solve the problems of the people.
