NEW DELHI, Nov 1: Honda launched its first diesel car “Amaze”. The car prized at Rs 5.15 lakh (petrol variant) and 6.17 lakh (diesel variant) onwards ex-showroom at Delhi received a tremendous response in bookings and sales.
The company as an effort to deliver the large number of bookings has been planning to start third shift with effect from November.
As per sale figures, Amaze is one of the best selling vehicles of Honda Cars India. Interestingly, the Japanese car maker over the last few months has been able to record more car sales than large scale manufacturers. If one takes a look at the numbers from April to September, Honda’s sales stood at 58,977 units. Also, Honda has recorded a growth of 88 per cent in sales for September, 2013 as compared to same month in the previous year.
If analysts are to be believed, Amaze’s competitive pricing, Honda brand value and its “India’s most Fuel Efficient Diesel Car / Badlay Aapke Duniya” tagline is responsible for the sudden success of Honda Amaze. Customers are attracted towards Amaze as the brand brings a sense of status.
Adequate interior space for entire family and luggage at very reasonable maintenance cost with a fuel efficiency of 25.8 kmpl (ARAI certified for diesel) is just what is pulling the customers to Honda showrooms.
