JAMMU, Apr 29: PG Department of Home Science in University of Jammu, which runs a laboratory nursery school and day care centre for the children below six years, organized a parent empowerment programme on the theme`Physical Health and Hygiene among Preschoolers’.
On the occasion, an interactive session for the parents and families of the children enrolled in the laboratory nursery school, was organized.
Dr Poonam Sethi (Medical Officer) and Dr Gautam Sharma (Dentist), were the chief resource persons for the programme.
They stressed upon the need for understanding the development milestones and parental alertness in identifying any developmental delay, including height and weight gains. They also stressed on the importance of vaccination.
HoD Dr Rajni Dhingra presided over the programme.
