Home Guards Association claims Central Govt support to its demands

JAMMU, Nov 24: All J&K Home Guards Welfare Association has claimed that the Union Government has assured them to form a committee to study their grievances and take up the matter with the State Government.
This was stated by Kamla Sharma, president of the Association, while addressing a press conference, here today.
She informed that members of the Association, along with one Nodal officer, went to Delhi and highlighted grievances of the Home Guards before Home Minister Raj Nath Singh.
“A detailed discussion was held with the Minister and senior officer of the PM office assured the delegation that a Committee will be formed to study our grievances and also assured that the matter will be taken up with the State administration,” she said
She has further added that vice president of BJP Central) unit Sham Jaju introduced them with Pushpendra Ji Maharaja, who also assured the delegation that the matter would be taken up with the State administration.
Kamla Sharma made an urgent appeal to the Chief Minister Mehboba Mufti to direct the concerned department to implement the orders of Supreme Court at par with other States, which are enjoying the benefits.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Santosh Kumari, Darshana Devi. Skina Devi, Gopal Dass, Kauash Devi, Varinder Singh, Sobha Singh, Pawan Kumar, Krishan Lal, Bashir Ahmed and Riaz Ahmed.
