It is within recent past days that the CAPD Minister has shown courage of higher degree to look into day-to-day problems being faced by common populace for immediate and appropriate actions. In order to prove his good intentions, he has undertaken surprise visits to ascertain for himself the tune and exact facts regarding different complaints that must have been received in his office pertaining to Public Distribution System. The measures undertaken by the Minister are very much encouraging for common people to develop high hopes for all other long pending problems/demands to be redressed for immediate solutions without any further delay.
Among all such pending problems/demands there is one long pending demand pertaining to Barnai-Bantalab area (within municipal limits) where the situation on ground as on date has not changed and consumers are still anxiously awaiting facility of Home Delivery of LPG by Hindustan Petroleum against proper booking. In this connection, the deliberations/discussions and mutually agreed decisions/directions, having been held between Oil Agencies and Govt Agencies, assuring home delivery of LPG within municipal limits/major towns, have not proved effective for unknown reasons disappointing the innocent consumers to receive the much needed facility in the area.
It is large number of aged ladies/gents, students, employees who are required to get into the queue facing all the discomforts during unfavourable weather conditions. It is more troublesome and humiliating when some times the delivery vehicle does not make the trip at the spot (delivery point) for one or the other reasons and the long waiting people have to return with empty gas cylinders.
Under the encouraging atmosphere of positive approach demonstrated by the CAPD Minister, it is highly expected that a pragmatic and result-oriented process would be undertaken to ensure a concrete and permanent solution to the burning problem of consumers who have been facing it for the past many years without any fault of theirs. At the same time, the Oil Agency concerned (HP) is also expected to contribute to sharing its responsibility in this public related matter.
