This is with reference to the news items in this paper dated 19.3.2014 and 20.4.2014 in which the Oil Agencies assured Home delivery of LPG within Municipal limits and major towns. Upon intervention of D.C. Jammu, the consumers expect 100 percent home delivery of LPG in the days to come. The situation on ground as on date has not changed in Barnai-Bantalab area (within Municipal limits) where consumers have been spotted receiving spot delivery of LPG by Hindustan Petroleum before and on 7-5-2014 also, inspite of mutually agreed decisions/directions.
While the measures undertaken in this regard by the parties concerned are sufficiently encouraging, a pragmatic and result oriented approach at Oil agencies/DC, Jammu level would definitely bring out at the earliest a concrete and permanent solution to the long pending problem/demand of consumers who have anxiously been waiting facility of booking and home delivery of LPG by Hindustan Petroleum in the area.
