Holy mace reaches Panchtarni

JAMMU, Aug 28: On the 58th day of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji yatra 329 pilgrims paid obeisance at holy cave in Lidder Valley in South Kashmir district of Anantnag today.
With this the total number of pilgrims paying obeisance in the cave shrine since the ongoing yatra started on July 1 from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas here has touched 3,52,489.
Meanwhile, the silver mace of Lord Shiva led by Mahant Deepender Giri the soul custodian of holy mace on its last leg of yatra has reached Panchtarni the last halting station on way to cave shrine.
The holy mace will leave for cave shrine situated at an altitude of 3880 meters from there early in the morning. Accompanied by a large number of Sadhus the holy mace will return to Panchtarni in the evening after the performance of day long pooja – archana in the cave shrine in a traditional way.
