JAMMU, Nov 17: The Government today ordered holiday in the districts for the day they go to polls in five phase polling for Assembly elections in the State. The holidays will be observed under Negotiable Instruments Act.
Bandipora, Ganderbal, Leh, Kargil, Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban districts will observe holidays on November 25 while Reasi, Udhampur, Poonch, Kupwara and Kulgam districts will have holidays on December 2.
Baramulla, Budgam and Pulwama districts will observe holidays on December 9 followed by Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian and Samba districts on December 14. Kathua, Jammu and Rajouri districts will have holidays on December 20.
An order to this effect was issued today by the General Administration Department.
