HoD Gynae GMC becomes first head of IMC journal from J&K

JAMMU, Feb 28: Dr Sudhaa Sharma, Professor Gynaecology & Obstetrician, GMC Jammu has been honoured with the rare/distinction of Editor-in-Chief of the official journal of Indian Menopause Society (IMS) in the annual National conference-IMSCON 2016 held at Nagpur.
Journal of Midlife Health (JMH) is the academic face of IMS and is one of the very prestigious journals of the country. Beside other indexing agencies, JMH is also indexed in Pubmed, MEDLINE/Index Medicus which is the ultimate and most reputed and respected indexing agency in the international arena of medical journalism.
Dr Sudhaa has become the first medical faculty from this region to be honoured with such prestigious assignment. She has taken over the new assignment from Dr Duru Shah, former president FOGSI & IMS. Dr Sudhaa has been associated with this journal right from its inception and has already worked as its Associate Editor.
Dr Sudhaa has vast experience of medical journalism. She is Editor in General  of JK Science, Journal of Medical Education and Research (highly indexed journal), and has been on editorial/advisory board of many national journals like JIMSA, International journal of Obst & Gyane, Asian Journal of Obst and Gyane.
She has been on national advisory board for 5 years in official Journal of FOGSI. She has been a National faculty for preparing National guidelines for treatment of menopause and osteoporosis issued by IMS. She has more than 50 scientific publications to her credit. Beside her contributions in medical education, Medical Journalism, research, teaching, patient care and practice of Obst and Gynae, she is a pioneer in introducing and establishing the concept of menopause in this region.
