JAMMU, June 4: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has postponed his three-day visit to Jammu and Leh by a day.
Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh told the Excelsior that the visit has been re-scheduled from June 5-7 as June 6-8.
“The change was necessitated due to bad weather conditions in Leh on June 5,” he said, adding that tour itinerary of the Union Home Minister will remain unchanged.
Rajnath accompanied by Dr Jitendra Singh will visit Samba sector on June 6 morning to inaugurate ITBP camp. Both will return to Jammu. While Dr Singh will fly to New Delhi, Rajnath will leave for Leh where he would stay till June 8 to review situation along China frontiers by visiting forward ITBP posts and flying over several other posts apart from having inter-action with the ITBP Commandants.
