LEH, Apr 25: For implementation of `Support of Statistical Strengthening’ (SSS) Scheme in Ladakh, the Union Territory Administration has constituted a High Level Steering Committee (HLSC).
Headed by the Advisor to Lt Governor, UT of Ladakh, the committee shall consider and recommend the project report on Support for Statistical and Strengthening (SSS) for approval by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India.
As per the order in this regard, the committee shall oversee the implementation and monitoring of the SSS Plan in the UT of Ladakh and issue necessary guidelines/instructions to the line department associated with SSS and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for extending full cooperation to the Nodal Officers/agencies.
Administrative Secretaries of various departments, Deputy Commissioner Leh and Kargil district, Director General Economics & Statistics, and representative from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India will be members of the committee.
