REASI, Mar 20: A Hizb militant from Kashmir, wanted for arson and looting last year, was arrested alive from a house in Thakrakot area, here today.
In a joint operation launched by Reasi and Kulgam Police, the C-category militant, namely Sabzar Ahmed Mantoo, son of Gaffar Ahmed Mantoo, resident of Khushibhatpura, DH Pura, Kulgam, was apprehended alive from the house of Nizam Din Pogli of Chinkah, tehsil Thakrakote, District Reasi.
The operation was led by Probationer DySP Javed Ahmed, under the supervision of SDPO Arnas.
According to Police, the captured militant was associated with Hizbul Mujahideen outfit and had been involved in arson and looting incident under Police Station DH Pora in 2016.
