Hit & run case solved, driver arrested

JAMMU, Oct 5: Kanachack Police solved a hit and run case by arresting the accused driver.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Station Kanachack through reliable sources regarding an accident between a car and motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CS-9518.
In the accident, the couple identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Bato Ram and his wife Asha Devi received serious injuries and were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where pillion rider succumbed to her injuries.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case FIR Number 122/2022 under sections 279, 337 IPC and 304-A IPC was registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Kanachack led by SHO Inspector Rahul Mahajan under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh put in strenuous efforts and finally arrested the accused driver, who was identified as Bownesh Razdan, son of D Razdan, a resident of Lane Number 1, Paragti Nagar Upper Barnai District Jammu. The car bearing registration number JK02CT-0608, which was involved in the accident has been seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
