JAMMU, Jan 19: RS Pura police arrested a history sheeter and recovered one country made pistol and a live cartridge from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station laid a naka at Chohala and arrested a history sheeter along with country made pistol and live cartridge.
The accused has been identified as Paramjeet Kumar alias Jungi, son of Devi Dass of Dravtey, RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 10/18 under Section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
