SAMBA, Apr 3: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu, presented Hindi play “Sub Ke Swami Ji” on the eve of “150th commemoration of Swami Vivekanand” at Laxmi Narayan Temple, Vijaypur, here today.
The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla, co-directed and produced by ML Dogra and assisted by Anuroop Pathania.
A galaxy of distinguished guests including former Regional Director of Field and Publicity, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, VK Magotra, Ranjeet Singh Pathania and Jag Mohan Singh also graced the occasion.
The play reveals the early childhood of Swami Vivekanand, his schooling and as a college student. It depicts how Swami Ji followed the path of truth from early childhood under the guidance of his mother Bhunashewari Devi and learned the secret of helping the poor from his father Vishwanath.
Those who acted in the play were Kanta Sharma, Shallu Kumari, Qurat-ul-Ain, Deeapli Bhat, Pardeep Sharma, Anuroop Pathania, Rakesh Katoch, Chankya Sharma, KK Joshi, Akshay Bhat, Gouri Lal, Deepak Kumar Dogra, RK Llakhnotra, Hemraj, Balwinder, Rahul Gupta, Kuldeep Raj, Sagar Saroch, Ridhum Saroch and Vijay Malla.
Music was composed by Raju Bajagal, Makeup was done by Shiv Dev Singh while sound and lights were executed by Deepak Kumar Dogra.
