Himalayan College bags 1st prize in symposium

RAJOURI, Feb 5: District Police Rajouri in collaboration with Government Postgraduate College Rajouri today organized an Inter-College Symposium on “Abuse of drugs in new generation” in which students of P G College Rajouri, Himalayan Degree College Rajouri and SVS College Rajouri participated.
Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal, SSP Rajouri was the chief guest and Prof (Dr) J A Qazi, Principal Govt PG College Rajouri was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Aalia Iqbal student of B Sc Part-II of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri clinched 1st prize, while Iflaq Ahmed Malik of Govt  P G College Rajouri bagged second prize and third prize went to  Khushal Gupta student of B.Sc Part-III of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri.
In his presidential address SSP Rajouri highlighted the adverse effects of drug addiction and said that it is the duty of every citizen of this country to make the society free  from this menace. Prof J A Qazi said that it is the duty of parents , teachers and elders in the society to aware the young generation about the disastrous effects of drug addiction.
In the end, the winners were given cash prize and mementoes.
