Himachal’s Ex-Additional Chief Secretary booked for lockdown violation

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh’s former Additional Chief Secretary was on Wednesday booked for violating the lockdown, police said on Thursday.

Shimal Superintendent of Police Om Pati Jamwal, in a statement, said that two FIR were lodged under section 188, 269 and 51 of Disaster Management Act at Sunni Police Station as two vehicles were coming toward the Khatnol village of Shimla district yesterday on the complaint of Gram Panchayat Khatnol Pradan Ms Anita.

The FIR was lodged against the accused including Arun Malik, Deepak Shannan (former IAS officer and retired Additional Chief Secretary), his daughter Jayanti Sannan and Madhav Malhotra all resident of Purani Khoti Mashobra situated at the outskirts of Shimla.

Second FIR was filed under similar sections against Anil Walia, Sakshi, Anirudh Walia and Gaurav  all resident of Purani Khoti Mashobra. (AGENCIES)
