NEW YORK, Aug 30: Actress Hilary Swank is to present Michael Kors with the Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion on September 4 for his contribution to the industry.
The “Million Dollar Baby” star will honour the 54-year-old fashion designer at a benefit luncheon at the David H Koch Theater in the Lincoln Center, New York City, reported New York Post.
A string of noble guests will be present during the ceremony, including Reem Acra, Iman Abdulmajid, Patti Hansen, Julie Macklowe, Martha Stewart and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff.
“Unlike so many other fashion events, our room is filled with women who buy not borrow, dresses,” said Couture Council chairman Yaz Hernandez.
Kors, who is known for designing classic American sportswear for women, previously said he was deeply honoured to be receiving the gong and was glad sportswear was finally being recognised. (PTI)
