Highest motor-able road of the world

This distinction and pride too had to be on our side in that the highest motor-able road of the world in Leh having been inaugurated by the MP from Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal will be known for passing through the Kela Pass at 18600 feet thus being proudly world’s highest motor-able way. It may be noted that so far this distinction was ” worn ” by the Khurdangla Pass , the world’s highest motor-able road as it was at a height of 18380 feet but now, the inaugurated road from Leh to Pangong will be at the world’s highest. Needless to add, the road is strategically important as most of those are in Ladakh due to obvious reasons as it connects Leh to Pangong Lake. This engineering feat has been accomplished by the engineers of the Indian Army which again lends to it a peculiar importance and this road would not only make the travel comfortable but save 41 km of travel from Leh ,Zingralto Tangste to the beautiful Pangong Lake. A tourist place of immense interest will give a mini feeling to enthusiastic tourists of how those climbing on the highest summit Mount Everest which is ”only” 11000 feet more in height than the road under reference would be feeling. Nomadic stocks, rare medicinal herbs, snow sport activities, lakes , valleys and the like will be other attractions for visitors and tourists albeit this new road.
