This is to draw the attention of the Divisional Commissioner, Pawan Kotwal, and the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar towards the fares charged for helicopter rates.
The fare from Kishtwar to Gulabgarh for an adult is 3399 whileas it is Rs 3134 for a child and fare from Kishtwar to Machail in Rs 5491 for an adult, and Rs 3396 for a child; and Gulabgarh to Machail is Rs 2400, for an adult. These rates are very high when compared with Vaishnodevi and Amarnath yatra. One fails to understand why such a huge difference in rates.
The Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner are requested to look into the matter, and redress the issue at the earliest.
