Hideout busted in Kishtwar; AK-56 rifle, grenades recovered

JAMMU: Army and police today busted a terrorist hideout in a joint operation launched in forest area of Kishtwar district.

“Rashtriya Rifles troops along with J&K Police this afternoon busted a militant hideout in Nagseni Tehsil of Kishtwar district,” sources here said. They said that based on a specific intelligence input, Rashtriya Rifles launched a joint operation with police in Horanmarg Forest of Nagseni Tehsil of Kishtwar district which led to the busting of well concealed hideout and recovery of a large cache of arms, ammunition and war like stores.

The recovery included one AK-56 rifle along with two magazines, 60 rounds of AK-56 rounds, four UBGL grenades, four hand-grenades, one wireless set, one radio set antenna, 3 RPG rounds, one binocular, cooking utensils and two blankets, sources added. (AGENCIES)
