JAMMU, Oct 4: First time in the history of Jammu, Hi-Speed Digital Communications has launched high quality set top box with MPEG-4 technology here in which the consumers would get digital technology.
The set top box has been prepared by Jainhits, which is a satellite-based Digital Cable TV Distribution Platform which provides digitized and encrypted satellite TV signals directly to the Cable Network Owners.
This is the only Direct-To-Network (DTN) service in India. This system has an advantage of having a centralized Conditional Access System (CAS) and Subscriber Management System (SMS). Jainhits has partnered with Motorola – world’s leading technology solution provider as its Technology Partner and Intelsat – world’s largest Satellite Company, as its Satellite Partner.
Jainhits offers Triple Play Service throughout India – Video, Data & Voice. It delivers more than 250 digital channels (including SD & HD), Broadband Services, Interactive and other Value Added Services.
While giving details about the set top box, partner of Hi-Speed Digital Communications, Harjeet Singh informed that the customers have to pay Rs 1600 as subscription charges. He further said the company has been providing two plans i.e Fix Plan and Make my Plan. Under Fix Plan the customer has to pay Rs 150 per month in which 250 channels will be available and in Make My Plan, the customer has to pay Rs 100 as compulsory charge in which the customer get 176 plus channels along with have an option to choose channel as per their choice @ Rs 4/ channel only.
As a launching offer in the City of Channel, the company has also another offer in which if the customer will pay Rs 3000 he/she gets set top box along with free annual subscription.
Harjeet informed that about 16 channels will be telecast from Jammu in which 8 local channels including Gurbani, Punjabi songs, English songs, Hindi songs, Hindi movie, English Movie, Punjabi movie and one city entertainment which are being currently telecasted.
Harjeet further said that at present the company has been providing 250 channels and 103 more channels will be added upto December 2015. He further mentioned that the company will complete its target of 500 channels in a year.
