SRINAGAR, Dec 10: Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in a consecutive operation busted a drug network by apprehending two hardcore drug dealers and seizing heroin like substance weighing approx 800 grams. This successful operation is third in a row by ANTF in Kashmir within a week.
According to SP ANTF Vinay Sharma, their unit received specific information that a contraband drugs deal was going to be struck at Brimri Chowk, Dragmulla, Kupwara which will further be sold in different parts of the Kashmir Valley.
On receiving this information, a team of ANTF J&K went to the spot and apprehended two individuals namely Mohammad Shafi Lone, son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone and Bilal Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Qadir Dar, both residents of Sopore. The duo was travelling in a Chevorlet Beat car bearing registration number HP22E-5622. Heroin like substance weighting around 800 grams worth Rs 4 crores was recovered from their possession.
An FIR has been registered in this regard under relevant Sections of law and ANTF J&K is investigating further links in the case, SP informed.
He requested the general masses for their support to the department in eradicating the menace of drug trafficking in the UT.
