JAMMU, Sept 15: Helpline Humanity in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) organized Career Counselling and Neighbourhood Youth Parliament programme at Jagti, here today.
Large number of youth from Jagti and adjoining areas participated in the programme.
TK Bhat, Commissioner Relief & Rehabilitation (M), Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
The participants especially, the unemployed youth and students spoke on the opportunities now available after neutralization of Articles-370 and 35-A .
The Programme was held under the mission ‘Gyan Ka Abishek’.
Prominent speakers who threw light on the significance of the programme included Col V Jala, Col Dhar and Prof Zutshi.
The speakers guided the youth and the parents regarding various careers available and as to how to prepare for the competitive examinations.
On the occasion, NGO felicitated Namrita Bhan and Kanav Mahajan, who recently cracked Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS).
Speaking on the occasion, Namrita and Kanav shared their experience of cracking KAS and guided the youth to prepare for Civil Services Examinations.
Speaking on the occasion, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner advised youth to put in hard work coupled with efficient time management to crack the competitive tests.
While lauding Helpline Humanity for its efforts to encourage youth, he assured all possible help from the Government for this noble cause of running the library cum book bank which is doing commendable job.
Founder of Helpline Humanity, Sameer Bhat promised that series of such programmes will be held in near future.
MK Bhat, President presented the concluding speech, while Aryan Ramesh conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Advocate Ravinder Raina, President, ASKPC, AK Raina, Col GK Raina, Omlaj, Ramesh Padroo , Rakesh Bhat, BL Jalali, A K Sadhu and PL Thusoo were present on the occasion.
