Hearing in Salman’s case adjourned till July 25

MUMBAI, June 25: A local court today adjourned till July 25, the hearing on hit-and-run case involving bollywood actor Salman Khan as original document of statement of witness was not found.
Session Court Judge D W Deshpande has asked the investigation officer to produce the original documents. He further
directed him to find out where the documents were, whether with lower court, police station or with police commissioner office and produce in the court on next date of hearing. Initially hearing was adjouned till July 14, but, witness,the
car parking manager of the hotel, said, it was difficult to come on
July 14, thereafter, Judge Deshpande changed it to July 25. It may recalled on September 28,2002, Mr Khan’s imported car
rammed into a American Bakery at Bandra, in which one person was killed and four others were injured. On December 5 last year, the court had ordered a fresh trial
on the ground that the witnesses had not been examined in the context of aggravated charge of culpable homicide, which was invoked against the actor midway through the case. (UNI)
