Health Sub-Centre in Martyr’s village

We owe our gratitude to those brave hearts who offer supreme sacrifice for the motherland, its sovereignty, integrity and freedom and who attain martyrdom today to ensure our tomorrow safe, secure and protected. The place or the area where from our martyrs hail, virtually turn into centres of historicity and become self explanatory sagas of their valour and patriotism. Having said all this, how does it look like that in village Sallani in Mendhar sub-division of District Poonch, the birth place of Martyr Aurangzeb, is having no proper Health Sub- Centre and the same is lying in cold storage for the last 8 years.
The Health Centre was started in 1989 but is still being run from a private rented building. The foundation of a new building at the cost of Rs.97.56 lac was laid during the year 2009 under National Health Mission and District Plan. Since 2010 the work is abandoned and the civil administration is practically unmoved for reasons not known. Since the village has assumed special importance and fame being the native village of Martyr Aurangzeb, we hope that the concerned authorities would address the issue on priority.
