JAMMU, Aug 4: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare today nominated Dr Anil Kumar Gupta, Senior Professor and former Head PGIMER Chandigarh, as president of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bathinda.
An order to this effect was issued today by the Union health and Family Welfare Ministry under All India Institute of Medical Sciences Amendment Act.
Son of the Soil, Dr Anil Kumar Gupta is former Dean (Research) & Medical Superintendent (1996-2021)-cum Senior Professor and Head Department of Hospital Administration PGIMER Chandigarh.
Dr Gupta is also ex-president Academy of Hospital Administration, India, Member, Institute Body AIIMS Bathinda, Member HR Committee AIIMS, Chairman Standing Hospital Management Board AIIMS Bathinda and Short Term Consultant, World SERO WHO New Delhi.
Prof Gupta had longest tenure as Medical Superintendent /Professor and Dean Department of Hospital Administration in India.
At PGIMER Chandigarh, he immensely contributed to the development and evolving of newer and emerging fields of Hospital Administration and also has to his credit outstanding scientific and scholarly contributions in the Hospital Administration.
