Health Deptt organizes free Medical Camps

KARGIL, Jan 28: With the objective of providing healthcare facilities to the people of remote areas at their doorsteps, Health Department Kargil organized several free medical camps in different blocks of the district today.
During these camps, free medical checkup and doctors’ consultation along with free quality medicines were provided to the needy patients besides free routine tests were also conducted.
More than 100 patients from Fokar Phoo and adjoining villages turned up at the medical camp where a team of doctors including Dental Surgeon, Medical Officer and paramedical staff led by the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Shargole, Dr Mohammad Abbass provided free medical checkup and medicines.
A free multidisciplinary medical camp was also organized at New Type Public Health Center Saliskote where a team of doctors including Gynecologist, Dr Nasreen Fatima; ENT Specialist, Dr Iftikhar Hussain Wazir; Dr Mohammad Syed and paramedical staff offered their services.
During the camp at Medical Sub Centre Chanigund, a team of doctors including BMO Kargil, Dr Liyaqat Ali Khan, Medical Officers, Dr Mohammad Kazim and Dr Khalid Khursheed conducted free medical checkup of more than 200 patients while as during the medical camp at Medical Sub Centre Khawos Panikhar, around 150 patients from Panikhar and adjoining villages got free consultation and medicines from BMO Panikhar, Dr Zahida Khatoon; Dental Surgeon, Dr Muneer Ahmad and Medical Officer, Dr Muhammad Rafiq.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Khan said, to facilitate needy patients in rural and far off areas, Health Department Kargil will organize more such camps in the district during coming days.
