Sir,
This has reference to the article ‘Healing South Kashmir’ DE Apr 25, 2019.
The writer wants healing touch for South Kashmir as if in all the other areas the business is as usual. The truth is such touch is required throughout the State, degrees to vary from place to place. Doesn’t it mean that members of effected communities like KPs, Sikhs and even displaced Muslims need this touch more? And by whom the healing touch needs to be given. If someone has to apply balm, it is the Valley based political parties who need to shun their pro-militant and pro-Pak stance and come openly to act their part as responsible citizens. They are, unfortunately, all spoiled children pampered by corrupt hawala money and other State funds. If the writer has a firm conviction of the people of other district/areas should apply healing touch. There is no bar. Tomorrow the displaced people and all the other original residents shall be back and slowly things will come to normalcy. Otherwise God alone knows how long the situation will continue as such. Well, perceptions can differ.
