JAMMU, Sept 20: A police Head Constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree near his residence in Kirpind area, falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib Police Station.
As per police station, a police Head Constable identified as 42-year-old Yashpal singh, son of Mohinder Singh, a resident of Kirpind, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree near his residence this evening.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to mortuary of RS Pura Hospital, where after conducting postmortem tomorrow, the body will be handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
