JAMMU, Aug 31: High Court has directed SSP Kathua and SHO Police Station Rajbagh to produce Jeelo, wife of Shokat Ali of village Manyari, who had been kidnapped along with her husband, before the court within 10 days.
When the matter came up for hearing, Advocate S .S Ahmed with Advocates Suyash Singh Chandel and Supriya Chouhan submitted that with the intervention of the State High Court the life of Shokat Ali has been saved and he stood recovered and was present before the court.
“However, Jeelo is still under the captivity of the abductors and her life is under threat as she has been reportedly kidnapped in the hilly areas of Dudu Basantgarh in tehsil Ramnagar”, he submitted.
At this stage, AAG Farooq Ahmed Natnoo produced a communication of SSP Kathua wherein it was divulged that Police teams have been constituted to trace Jeelo and very soon she will be recovered and produced before the court.
After considering the submissions of both the sides, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur directed SSP Kathua and SHO Rajbagh to produce Jeelo before the court within 10 days.
