JAMMU, June 29: State High Court has summoned Vice Chairman of Jammu Development Authority (JDA), Mubarak Singh in a disputed land allotment case.
The court asked the VC JDA Mubarak Singh to appear in person in the court on next date of hearing. The petitioner, Sudesh Sharma a Government employee, challenged the JDA after he was allotted a disputed plot measuring 7 marlas by the JDA at Rajinder Nagar Jammu, on 29-4-2006 at a premium of Rs 1.60 lakh. The JDA handed over the possession of the said plot on Nov 30, 2006 but when petitioner started construction work, the third party arrived with Revenue documents claiming that land belonged to them and this matter was already in the court.
The petitioner moved to the court after the JDA refused to help him and did not provide any other suitable and land with clear status. The court has also directed the JDA to provide plot to the petitioner at some other place but the JDA officials were seeking more and more time to settle the case while petitioner has been suffering for the last over 10 years for his no fault. Advocate Vivek Sharma appeared on behalf of petitioner in the court.
