JAMMU, May 10: State High Court today stayed the promotion of Joint Director in the Animal Husbandry Department.
The order was passed in a petition filed by Dr Ashok Kumar Magotra presently posted as Poultry Nutritionist at Beli Charana seeking quashment of Govt Order No 134-ASH of 2013 dated April 26, 2013 whereby respondent ignoring the seniority of the petitioner placed juniors to the petitioner as Joint Directors/equivalent posts in the Animal Husbandry Department.
After hearing Advocate SS Ahmed appearing for the petitioner, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to respondents returnable within two weeks. In the meanwhile, Court ordered that subject to objections from the other side and till next date before the Bench, operation of Govt Order No 134-ASH of 2013 dated April 26, 2013 qua respondent No 3 (Dr Girdhari Lal Choudhary Incharge Epidemiologits Jammu) shall remain stayed.
