JAMMU, Mar 12: High Court has stayed the appointment of 13 Assistant Stock Man and Field Man in Sheep Husbandry Department.
Advocate M R Qureshi appearing for the petitioners submitted that the Vide Govt Order dated March 4, 2014 Dr BC Sharma stood transferred on certain allegations but on March 5, 2014 he intentionally issued appointment orders of 13 Assistant Stock Man and Field Man.
“Even otherwise the appointment order of private respondents could not be issued by Dr BC Sharma being District Sheep Husbandry Officer as he was only heading the selection committee and the appointment order was to be issued by the Head of Department in terms of guidelines”, the counsel for the petitioners said.
Accordingly, Justice Virender Singh issued notice to State of J&K through Commissioner Secretary Sheep and Husbandry Department, Director Sheep & Husbandry Jammu and B C Sharma Chairman District Recruitment Committee Poonch returnable within four weeks.
In the meanwhile, High Court ordered that appointment of private 13 private respondents vide order dated March 5, 2014 shall remain stayed till next date.
