Srinagar, Feb 13: High Court today asked Senior Additional Advocate General A R Malik to file a better affidavit as the one which he filed was contradictory to the statements made by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag and the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag in the court.
Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal directed the Sr AAG to file a better affidavit seeking unconditional apology from the court for his professional misconduct by producing Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag as Deputy Commissioner Anantnag before the High Court.
The DC and the ADC Anantnag were also directed to file an affidavit seeking unconditional apology from the court.
The Sr. AAG-A R Malik today along with the Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, and the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag were present before the court to filed the affidavit which was required to be filed by him in terms of court direction.
Court recorded statements of both the DC and the ADC and they were found to be contrary to the affidavit filed by the Sr. AAG.
“Statements of both the officers present in the court were recorded in the open court and made part of the record. The statements made by the above officers are contrary to the affidavit filed by the learned Sr. AAG,” the HC order reads.
On being confronted with their position, the Sr. AAG submitted that he may be given an opportunity to file a better affidavit seeking unconditional apology from the court.
He further submitted that the DC and ADC may also be permitted to file an affidavit seeking an unconditional apology from the court.
“Let the personal affidavits be filed by Mr. A. R. Malik, Sr. AAG, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, in terms of the submission made by Mr. A. R. Malik, learned Sr. AAG, with a week’s time”, HC directed.
