HC restrains State from granting power connection to Mir Steel Mills

JAMMU, Feb 18: State High Court has restrained State Government from granting physical power connection to M/s Mir Steel Rolling Mills, IGC Lassipora, Pulwama.
The order was passed in a petition filed by M/s Shree Guru Kripa Alloys Pvt Ltd, Trikuta Nagar. The petitioners submitted that power connection was being granted to the respondent in violation of Government order.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocates YE Tak and Rajat Gupta for the petitioner, High Court issued notice to State through Principal Secretary, PDD, Development Commissioner Power, Chief Engineer PDD Srinagar and M/s Mir Steel Rolling Mills returnable within two weeks.
“Subject to objections from the other side, the respondents are restrained from granting physical power connection to M/s Mir Steel Rolling Mills till next date of hearing”, High Court said, adding in case the power connection has already been granted the same shall not be allowed to use till next date of hearing.
The case will now be listed for hearing after two weeks.
