HC notices to Union HS

SRINAGAR, Jan 3:  Jammu and Kashmir High Court today issued notices to Union Home Secretary, Chief Secretary of the State, Commissioner Secretary to Revenue, and Relief Commissioner and asked them to file reply to the petition seeking benefits to non-migrant Pandits under PM’s package for migrant Pandits.
The petitioner, Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti, seeks benefits of the Prime Minister’s package for migrant Kashmiri Pandits which he announced during his visit to Kashmir valley in 2008 to non-migrants Pandits as well.
The petition seeks that non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits be included in the job package that was announced by Prime Minister for Kashmiri Pandit migrants.
The package that was announced by PM in 2008 for Kashmiri migrants include housing, cash relief, scholarships for students, employment, assistance to agriculturists, waiver of interest on loans. The package also includes jobs for the unemployed Pandit migrant youth.
