JAMMU, Sept 7: Admitting a petition filed by Citizen Cooperative Bank employees against short fall in the interest earning on their PF contribution, High Court of J&K has issued notice to Additional/Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner, J&K Employees Provident Fund Office, and listed the case on October 11, 2021.
An order in this regard was issued yesterday by Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, according to which, notice has been issued to the respondent, returnable within four weeks.
The writ petition has been filed by Citizen Cooperative Bank Officers Association, stating that J&K EPF Office wrongfully deflected and illegally retained interest earning aggregating to Rs 2.5 crores approximately of subscriber employees, which was established in the balance sheet up till October 2019, provided by JKEPFO to Central EPFO.
