JAMMU, Dec 28: Jammu and Kashmir High Court Judge Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today issued notice in the main petition of DySP Shashi Thakur versus State of Jammu and Kashmir, SHO Channi Himmat and Ashiq Hussain son of Qasim Din R/o Uttam Nagar Gangyal to Additional Advocate General to take requisite steps within one week.
In the meantime, Justice Bhat directed that the status report be called from the concerned SHO and no further proceedings be taken up in the matter and investigations shall not be finalized till next date before the bench.
The petitioner (Shashi Thakur) had sought quashing FIR No. 100/2012 registered with Channi Himmat police station for offences under Sections 447, 427, 323 and 506 RPC.
The Counsels for the petitioner including Sunil Sethi and Mohsin Bhat submitted copy of the report filed by SHO police station, Channi Himmat, which reads that reportedly the investigations have been closed as not admitted, which has been revealed by the DySP Headquarters, Jammu and the file has been sent for approval to Deputy Inspector General of Police.
