JAMMU, Oct 24: In a contempt petition filed by Urgain Loondup, CEO, Tourism Development Authority, Leh, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal issued notice to Deputy Commissioner Leh returnable within one week.
The petitioner Urgain Loondup had filed a writ petition challenging his premature transfer from the post of Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Leh to Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Kargil. The State High Court on 15-09-2014 disposed of the writ petition with a direction to the GAD to reconsider his transfer and till reconsideration is accorded the petitioner shall be allowed to continue at his present place of posting if not relieved prior to filing of this writ petition. However, following no compliance of directives, the petitioner filed a contempt petition in the State High Court and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal, after hearing Advocate S S Ahmed, issued one week’s notice to the Deputy Commissioner, Leh.
The High Court further directed the listing of the contempt petition immediately after filing of service affidavit by the petitioner.
