SRINAGAR, Feb 18: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court today granted bail to former Health Minister, Shabir Ahmad Khan, in a sexual assault case of a lady doctor of the Health Department.
A single Bench of the Court, comprising Justice J R Kotwal, today confirmed the bail to the former Health Minister. A case was registered against Khan on a complaint filed by a lady doctor in Police Station Shaheed Gunj, who alleged that Khan made an attempt to molest her in his chamber in the civil secretariat on January 28.
The Court also removed restrictions on the movement of Khan. He, however, has been asked to inform the investigating agency about his movements. He was also directed to remain available to the investigation agency.
