HC directs repatriation of Pak national

SRINAGAR, Apr 27: High Court directed for repatriation of a Pakistan nationalist within a period of two months.
Justice Tashi Rabastan while quashing the detention of Akhtar-Ul-Islam Malik Teeli of  Purana Karole Baghbanpora, Gujjarpora Lahore, Pakistan, directed the authorities to take immediate steps for deportation of Teeli to his native country.
Court directed the said exercise be done preferably with a period of two months positively and in this connection court directed the registry to supply the order copy to Superintendent of Central Jail, Kotebalwal, Jammu where the petitioner is presently languishing. Teeli was arrested on 11.05.2007 by Police Station Vilgam in connection with cases, bearing FIR No.29/2007 for commission of offences punishable under Section 302, 307 RPC, 7/25 Arms Act and FIR No.32/2007 under Section 7/25 Arms Act, 2/3 E&IMCO Act.
After completion of investigation, he was charge sheeted for the commission of these offences before the court of Sessions Judge, Kupwara and after putting on trial he was acquitted by the trial court in 2011 of all charges.
Against the said judgment, the State filed Acquittal Appeal before High Court and the said appeal of State came to be dismissed last year.
