JAMMU, Oct 25: In a petition highlighting encroachment of municipal park located between NITCO Lane and Rama Lane at Talab Tillo, High Court today issued certain directions to the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
After hearing counsels for both the sides, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal directed that the Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation to personally visit and inspect the spot and make a detailed report to this court indicating the dimensions of the park as per municipal record, physical position on spot, including the openings (doors etc.), if any, of the private houses, opened unauthorizedly towards the park, unauthorized use of the park, if any, and all other connected matters.
“The report should be made to this court within two weeks”, Justice Kotwal said, adding “in case the report is not so made for any reason, whatsoever, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation shall remain present in person on the next date”.
