SRINAGAR, Aug 19: High Court directed the Government to finalise the confirmation of promotion of all the posts within two months.
A division bench of Jammu and Kashmir High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir directed the Health Department authorities to finalise the promotion of all the post of Senior Consultants, and A-grade specialists of various streams like Surgery, Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pathology, Radiology, Gynaecology and others within two months.
The Health Department had issued an order earlier this month to fill vacancies of senior consultants in various disciplines on regular basis after recommendation by recruiting agencies which have been sanctioned for six months.
The bench was hearing an application that was filed by Health and Medical Education Department seeking extension of time for implementing the court order issued earlier this year.
