JAMMU, June 9: In a petition filed by Ladakh Buddhist Association seeking direction to the respondents not to issue any bar license in Leh, High Court has sought fresh status report from the State.
After hearing both the sides and going through the compliance report filed by Deputy Commissioner Leh, Justice Tashi Rabstan observed, “a bare perusal of the report reveals that it has been prepared without physical inspection by the officers/officials concerned”.
Accordingly, High Court directed respondents to file fresh status report/compliance report in terms of order dated 14.03.2018 whereby directions were issued for furnishing complete list to bar licenses/seasonal bar licenses issued in Leh city disclosing the location of each such bar license/seasonal bar license as well as the distance from religious places, schools and hospitals before the next date of hearing.
