HBET gives scholarship to 600 rural girls

JAMMU, Sept 9: Over 600 children received scholarship during a six day programme organised by Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust (HBET) which concluded here today.
About 85 per cent recipients of the scholarship were girls from rural and border areas.
Jitpal Saini and Tejinder Saini were the guests of honor and they enlightened the students about the benefits of education.
The participating children and their parents came from different villages of Hiranagar, Chak, Chakroi, Arnia, Rattian, Doomi, Gajansoo, R.S Pura, Birpur, Rehian, Jourian, Dansal, Kangrail, Gurah Slathia,  Ghou Manhasan, Saruinsar, Kandyal etc.
Selection test for new students was also conducted from classes 1 to 3. Parents of the needy and meritorious students of Government schools may apply to the Trust for scholarship.
