Haywire Parking

Sir,
There is tremendous increase in the number of vehicles in the city of Jammu. Roads are more or less the same – the same length and breadth. Over it, there is encroachment on both the sides of the roads. In most of streets,  lanes and on busy roads, there are vehicles parked by those owners who have no parking space in their houses. The entire old city, like Jain Bazar, Mubarak  Mandi road, City chowk , its streets and lanes are fully parked on both the sides by such vehicles which have no home .  Even Gandhi Nagar areas are also facing problems due to more vehicles,  wrongly parked vehicles with less space to move around. This results in untold hardships to commuters, children and the old as there is hardly any space left by such vehicle parkers. Sarwal road  right from the Hospital to Patoli is full with wrongly parked , erratically parked vehicles masking it difficult for walkers to move about. Parking is becoming a massive problem and before it assumes alarming proportions the authorities must address it on priority. We expect a good additional number of vehicles during the annual Darbar shifting causing moré confusion and long jams on the roads.
Yours etc….
